Round-trip Tickets Home Available for Rural Workers |
As the Spring Festival travel peak approaches, China is giving special care to its large number of migrant workers by providing round-trip ticket service next year, so as to ensure a smooth home-going and safe return for multitudes of migrant workers during the festival.
A source from the railway department said that migrant workers can purchase round-trip tickets from railway stations in major cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhou or Hangzhou, which are either hinge cities or cities with large trafficking of migrant workers.
According to the new policy, an enterprise with more than 100 migrant workers can apply for group booking of hard-seat train tickets for its employees.
The return ticket for migrant workers will be marked by the word "Return" on its face, and the respective seal of the employee's enterprise. A special seal for finance will be found on the back.
The railway department will collectively deal with migrant workers' ticket booking services from January 11 to 31, while the return trip period will span from February 10 to 20. Covered stations will set up specific booths to handle this service.
