Sudan Offers Donation to Quake-hit Area

Mirhgani, the Sudanese Ambassador to China, donated US$250,000 in Beijing on Wednesday to China's quake-hit area on behalf of the Sudanese government.

Chinese Foreign Ministry officials received the cheque.

According to a Foreign Ministry source, Sudanese living and working in south China donated 85,000 yuan (about US$12,150) to the quake area previously. The Beijing office of the Khartoum Refinery Co. Ltd has also offered 50,000 yuan.
