WB Lends China US$1.475 Bln in 2006

The World Bank (WB) lent China US$1.475 billion to finance urban and rural construction in 2006, according to the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

 

The bank said that it will loan US$200 million to support China's railway construction.

 

The WB funds will be used to upgrade a railway linking Liupanshui city in southwest China's Guizhou Province and Zhanyi county in Yunnan Province.
