Bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the east, the Central American country of Costa Rica is a heaven for surfing fans from all over the world and also a cradle for many surfing master-hands. Leonardo Calvo Arrieta is one of them. Though he is only 12, Leonardo has won the national champion of his age.Leonardo's parents found his surfing talent at the age of 6 and then began to train him in this area. Leonardo himself also became a big fan of surfing during the practicing process. As a student of a primary school which doesn't give much homework after class, Leonardo pays most of his spare time on surfing. He began receiving professional guidance three years ago with a coach who had won national champion for eight times. Leonardo practices surfing everyday and lives in his coach's home at weekends and on holidays to better improve his skills. Now his skill has won him lots of support from sport sponsors. All the surfboards and surfwears are free for him.Back to school, Leonardo is a shy boy. He is modest and never mention his achievement on surfing. He deals with study and surfing perfectly, and becomes a good example for his classmates.
