Ten-year-old Sanlong comes from Afghanistan. He and his mother arrived in Yiwu in 2007, where his father runs a foreign trade company. Then, he became a pupil in the Wu'ai Primary School in September 2008. "The name Sanlong was chosen by my tutor, my real name is Zayd." He introduced himself in mandarin with a northwestern Chinese accent.

Sanlong's favorite class at school is painting. According to his teacher, Sanlong was so curious about the brush pen at his first traditional Chinese painting class that he put it into mouth and bit it! He is also interested in the math class. However, the Chinese literature class to him is a big headache, as the complicated Chinese characters often drive him crazy.

Outside school, Sanlong is also an energetic boy. He adores the Chinese martial art stars Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. He dreamed about becoming the third "dragon" star as his Chinese name contains the character "long", the same as these two kungfu masters.
