Chen Yu, a 7-year-old blind boy, has classes in the Nanchang Blind Children's School in Nanchang, capital city of east China's Jiangxi Province, on November 5, 2009.
In the morning, second-grade student Chen Yu was "checking" an automobile carefully. After touching every parts of the car with his hands, Chen Yu told definitely that it was not the one stopping here last day.
Little Chen Yu went blind due to the mistake made by the hospital where he was born. Unlike people with normal vision, Chen Yu can only know things with his hands and experience the colorful world with his heart. After learning that he was going to be photographed, Chen Yu desired to touch the camera. As he got the permission, he pressed the shutter and said happily "I can take photos!".
Chen Yu lived in an impoverished family. His father earned a household living by doing odd jobs and his mother, in order to take good care of him, couldn't work normally.
Chen Yu had such a strong sense of direction that he could rush in the corridor and ride bicycles on the playground of the school. Although messed up with wounds, Chen Yu never thought about giving up. His teacher Zhang Yun said, "He is a optimistic and clever boy, never minding the physical defect of his own."
Some high-grade students of the school had started to operate computers. Little Chen Yu admired them and said "I'm going to learn computers, becauseI want to make more friends."
