Women are playing an increasing important role in all walks of life in China. This year, they have arrived at the annual NPC and CPPCC sessions with bills and proposals covering a wide range of topics including education, migrant workers and employment.

Wu Haiying of the Hui Muslim ethnic group is a deputy from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to this year's NPC session.

Wang Chunlan, an NPC deputy from Anhui Province said her major concern this year is the migrant workers issue.
