North China's Tianjin
municipality is adopting new measures to prevent the delay of
payments for migrant workers.
Yang Fuyu is a director of Tianjin Labor and Social Security
Bureau.
"We developed six types of contracts to define the detailed
rights, duties, work hours and vacations for the two sides."
Tianjin also develops a payment system using bank cards.
Each worker will get a bank card before he/ she takes the job,
and the salary will be put into the card each month.
Zhao Min is the director of the Construction Industry Management
Office under Tianjin Construction Committee.
He says migrant workers should get registered with their
identification.
"This means every migrant worker will get registered by signing
a work contract and get a bank card. By June this year, 100 percent
of the migrant workers in Tianjin will get a bank card."
