China is to offer free herbal treatment to some 30,000 AIDS
patients in 15 provinces. It will spend US$3.5 million on the
campaign in five heavily AIDS-stricken provinces.
A
batch of 2,000 patients in Hebei, Henan, Anhui, Hubei and Guangdong
provinces will be the first to receive the treatment.
China will spend 29 million yuan, or US$3.5 million, over three
years on the campaign in these five provinces.
A
training course of herbal medicine treatment is also held in Henan
Province, which is believed to be the province most severely hit by
AIDS.
