Employment Increases in First Half
The first half of this year has witnessed an increase of 552,000 people in the work force of Chinese cities and counties.

The report from the National Bureau of Statistics reveals that continuing rapid economic growth and seasonal employment contributed to this big increase.

The average salary of urban employees in the first half of the year reached 7,100 yuan, or US$855, a 14 percent increase over the same period of last year.
