WB China Departing Director Bids Farewell
The World Bank Office, Beijing, held a reception at the China World Hotel on July 7, 2004, to bid farewell to Yukon Huang, departing country director for China.

Huang, an American national, came to Beijing to take his post as director for the China Program on July 1, 1997.

From Beijing, Huang will return to Washington, D.C.

David Dollar, an American national, succeeded Huang earlier this month as the country director for China as well as Mongolia.

Over 300 guests attended the reception, at which Mr. Huang, Mr. Dollar and Mr. Austin Hu, the World Bank deputy country director for China, gave emotional speeches.
