'The Road to Health' Paved to Heilongjiang

Part of a mass activity titled "The Road to Health" that offers free medicine, health service and medical knowledge to local people in rural areas was held in the Mongol autonomous county of Duerbute, northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province on Thursday and Friday.

"The Road to Health" has been sponsored by the Ministry of Health and China Central Television (CCTV) since 1997 and 12 such activities have been held in different parts of China.

The theme of this activity is "Tuberculosis Prevention", which aims to help rural people to learn more about tuberculosis, enhancing their awareness of prevention of tuberculosis.

10 renowned medical experts from Beijing and 20 others from the local large hospitals joined the program, offering on-site consultations, medical check-ups and medicines to the local people.
