Snow to Continue to Plague S China over Next 3 Days

Snow or sleet will continue to fall on southern China over the next three days, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) forecast Sunday.

Northwestern Yunnan Province, southeastern parts of the Tibet Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province as well as southern Gansu Province in northwest China would experience heavy snow or sleet, with parts of Tibet hit by snowstorms.

Meanwhile, rain or sleet would shower some areas of southwest and south China. The CMA warned the adverse weather conditions could lead to slippery roads and cause traffic accidents.

Affected by a cold snap moving eastward, eastern parts of Inner Mongolia Autonomous and northeast China region could see strong winds and temperatures fall by three to six degrees Celsius. Some of these areas are to have small or moderate snowfalls.
