A place to replace tents.

More than 1,000 quake survivors have moved into this settlement.

It still looks temporary, but at least there are walls and roofs.

Yi Zhiqun and her family were among the first arrivals. The family lost everything they had in the quake.

Yi Zhiqun, quake survivor, said, "Reporter: Did everyone in your family survive the quake?

Yi Zhiqun said, "Everyone survived. Our 6-story apartment building collapsed. We lived on the 3rd floor. We lost everything. We didn't take a single thread."

Nearly all the things in her room now are disaster relief materials and donations. Simple, but enough for basic needs.

By chance, someone did find one thing in the rubble and sent it to Yi Zhiqun. Now, it is the family's most precious possession.

Sweet memories are stored in this album, with newly marked trauma.

Her grandson is now in a middle school in Chengdu. Her daughter-in-law is working in a city in the south.

Recalling the old days is not all about her life in this settlement. As a veteran community worker, she wants to put her experience to good use.

She is now in charge of allocating housing for new comers.

Yi Zhiqun said, "I have allocated shelters for 70-80 people since I came here. Yesterday afternoon alone, it was over 30."

While Yi Zhiqun is busy with new settlers, her husband, Yu Zehong, is taking the days here easy.

Done with new comers, Yi takes us to see facilities they cannot live without.

Yi Zhiqun said, "We wash clothes, bowls and bathe here. We got natural gas here 2 days ago. We used liquified gas when the settlement was established."

Yi Zhiqun said, "They have all we need here. You can write down what you need and they will get it for you."

Reporter: What about the prices?

There hasn't been a price surge. Some things are even cheaper than in normal times."

Yi Zhiqun said, "This is our library. It was set up on May 23. Students like to read here."
