President Hu Jintao has visited injured quake survivors in temporary tent wards by a hospital in Longnan City, in northwest China's Gansu Province.

Hu visited Longnan City Sunday afternoon, conveyed his condolences to local residents injured in the May 12 earthquake and gave regards to medical staff from home and Pakistan.

He also talked with Chinese medical workers and a team of medics from Pakistan. Hu Jintao then left for Wudu District in Longnan to direct relief work.
