It never occurred to Wenchuan resident Tian Min that his three-year-old son Tian Yangming might still be alive, and that they could reunite in Chengdu.

Wenchuan resident Tian Min said, "When the earthquake hit Yingxiu, my heart collapsed with the house."

Tian Min said he and his wife worked in different towns, and their son lived in Yingxiu with grandparents. He thought of his son's death after Monday's disaster.

Wenchuan resident Tian Min said, "I really thought my son was dead."

Tian Yangming was carried by plane to a Chengdu hospital on Saturday, together with a group of quake survivors. Fortunately, the boy was unharmed.

A doctor from Chengdu No. 2 Hospital said, "When he reached the hospital, the doctors soon learned from him where his parents were, where his home was, and what his name is. This was very useful for us to find his parents. "

So far, efforts by the People's Armed Police have resulted in nearly 10,000 people being rescued in Sichuan Province.
