Morgan Hamm of the US gymnastics men's team announced here Thursday his withdrawal from the Beijing Olympic Games for a left ankly injury.

The announcement came after Morgan's brother, Paul Hamm, the men's all-around gold medalist in the Athens Olympics, quit the Beijing Olympics for a hand injury.

"I have been dealing with this for the last year, and it recently has gotten worse here in Beijing," said Hamm, a two-time Olympian.
