Ten more enterovirus cases were confirmed here on Thursday, bringing the total number to 283 so far, according to the city's Health Bureau.
These enterovirus cases comprise hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) and herpangina (mouth blisters), but none of the patients was in serious condition, the bureau said in a press statement.
Four of the 10 new cases were detected at the same class of a local creche, according to the bureau.
Among the detected cases, 34 have been confirmed as EV71 (enterovirus 71) infections as of Thursday.
Most of the enterovirus patients were children enrolled in local creches and primary schools.
