Three Killed in Flash Flood in NW China

Three people died in Thursday's flash flood in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, local authorities confirmed on Friday.

The flood occurred at about 9:00 a.m. on the Hongliugou section of State Highway 315 in Ruoqiang county, of southern Xinjiang.

Rescuers have found two battered vehicles -- a truck containing two bodies from the Sanchuan Dynamite Company and a car with one body.

The three bodies have been sent to a local hospital.

Details of the victims are not yet available.
