China Expects Widespread Precipitation in Next 3 Days

A cold front would bring widespread precipitation to north and northeast China as well as areas between the Yellow and Huaihe rivers in the coming three days, the National Meteorological Observatory forecast on Sunday.

Small to moderate rains would be possible in northern Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and most parts of northern China with the cold front moving eastward during the period. Some of these regions would experience heavy rains or rainstorms.

Most parts of southern and southwestern China would experience showers and some parts of Guangxi and Sichuan was set to hit by heavy rains or rainstorms, the observatory said in a notice.

The cold air would also bring strong winds and temperature declines to Xinjiang, Gansu and Inner Mongolia. During the period, temperature in these regions would fall by six to eight degrees Celsius and up to 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in some areas.
