Colombian media hailed on Tuesday the transfer of the Colombian football striker Jackson Martinez to China's Guangzhou Evergrande, who became the most expensive player in the history of Chinese soccer for around 43 million U.S. dollars.

Jackson Arley Martinez Valencia, 29, was born in the Colombian western Choco department, has scored 190 goals during seasons in his career since 2005, and 15 in international matches. He has recently played 22 games in Spain's Atletico Madrid and scored three goals, and plays Colombian national team.

Meanwhile, Guangzhou Evergrande FC published in its official website the photos of Jackson wearing his new uniform with the number '9' and welcomed the player to the 2016-2017 Chinese football season.

Jackson is the fourth Colombian player to transfer to China after Fredy Guarin (Shanghai Shenhua), Fredy Montero (Tianjin Teda) and Giovanni Moreno (Shanga Shenhua), who will participate in the first division of the Chinese league this season. Endit
